COVID-19 Update from Volcano Scouting

Volcano Scouting has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Merit Badge Weekend originally scheduled for June 5-7 at the Mount St. Helens Science and Learning Center. Our team is currently evaluating virtual, staff retreat, and rescheduling options and plan to make a determination on Friday, May 8, 2020. Refund and registration transfer options will be available Monday, May 11, 2020.


Volcano Scouting is moving forward with the 2020 Hornaday Adventure Camp as scheduled on August 7-9 at the Mount St. Helens Science and Learning Center with a reduced participant capacity, reduced participant fees, increased facility sanitation, and social distancing guidelines. Details will be released on Friday, May 8, 2020. Refund options will be available Monday, May 11, 2020.


We will continue to monitor regional public health conditions and government regulations throughout the summer and adjust our programming to ensure the health and safety of our staff, participants, and partners. We appreciate your patience and understanding as our team evaluates our options. We look forward to seeing you at Mount St. Helens when it is safe to gather again!
